The Y30 Cedric/Gloria, born in 1983, was renewed with the first V6 engine in a Japanese passenger car as its main feature.
While retaining the image of its popular predecessor, it made progress as a luxury car of the 1980s by extending the wheelbase and expanding the interior dimensions.
In 1984, it received detailed improvements, such as adding the Brougham VIP as the top-of-the-line model, which featured the V6 3000cc turbo specification that had previously been installed in the Fairlady Z, and in 1985 the exterior was also changed significantly.
